Il vestibolo
Vestibule
È la parte di accesso al teatro. Di pianta rettangolare, conta cinque porte di ingresso dall’esterno (tre centrali che immettono nel vestibolo vero proprio e due che accedono a due spazi laterali ma comunicanti con esso) e tre porte che lo mettono in comunicazione con l’atrio.
È ornato dai busti di Cesare Costa e di Achille Peri, di Pietro Aleotti e da due medaglioni che raffigurano Terenzio e Plauto, eseguiti da Antonio Ilarioli.
La volta, a vela, è dipinta a chiaroscuro, così come tutte le parti di passaggio.
🇬🇧 This is the theatre entrance hall. Having a rectangular plan, the vestibule is entered from the street through five doors (three central doors that lead directly into the vestibule and two that lead to two side areas that are connected to the vestibule) and offers three doors that lead to the atrium.
It is decorated with busts of Cesare Costa, Achille Peri and Pietro Aleotti, as well as two medallions epicting Terentius and Plautus by Antonio Ilarioli.
The cap vault is painted in chiaroscuro, as are all parts of the vestibule.
